I used these DVD dividers for the dividers. I do realize that the photos in this post are ‘sub par’ – I just wanted you to see my actual inventory. Genius! The video will explain in more detail. When you search for horse – EVERY stamp/die/paper that has that tag will appear. you have a stamp set with a few different animals – you input the tags – cat, dog, bear, sheep, horse.

And then, when you search, everything will appear that matches your search. You input the tags for each stamp and die set, paper color, stencil name, image, sentiment, or description. My everything else catagories are…(again just few listed) – My die categories are…(I have only a few listed below – I am more detailed in the die ‘drawer’) – These ‘drawers’ can be as broad or as detailed as you want. As a visual – Within my stamp and die ‘drawers’ I have folders with different categories. I like to think of Evernote as 1 large filing cabinet. I am looking forward to implementing that. Someone just told me to use non-skid mats from Lowes – they will keep my pockets from sliding forward. The double ones are perfect for 2 rows of stamps/dies. If the dies can be used stand-alone I store them separately and put a label on them, ie ‘matching die stored in Words and Letters.’ Or ‘matching stamp stored in Sentiments.’ For the most part, I store the matching dies behind the stamps. I label each stamp set with the company name and then the stamp/die name underneath.

I also love this Brother P-touch label maker – you can program so that it does not use as much tape at the beginning and the end – little things like that make me happy. I make a bunch ahead of time so that they are all ready when my new product arrives. I then cut a piece of i nexpensive card stock to go in the storage pocket. I use the large size for the most part and the extra large. I put all of my stamps and dies in Avery Elle Storage Pockets. Time to get caught up! Storing my stamps & dies in stamp/die pockets – I realized, while I made this video, that I have not been as diligent with keeping up my inventory as I had hoped. Keep in mind – an inventory system is only as good as the input. I put together an Evernote tutorial video – I hope this helps.

#Using evernote tutorial how to

A few people asked me how to use Evernote in my Craft Room Organization and Tour video. I have never looked back! I have used it for about a year now and love it. I searched the web for some type of craft room inventory system and I found Evernote. I struggled to find a good system for my craft supplies. I don’t know about you, but I get really tired of spending my money on duplicate supplies. I love it because it syncs with all my devices (I love digital stuff that does that!). Evernote is an app for keeping track of anything – only, I love love love using it for my craft supplies.
